About Us

Windsong Ranch is a family-owned business which began in 2004. Gord and Heather Sturm have been involved with horses most of their lives and are passionate about sharing their knowledge and expertise with everyone who comes to their beautiful 100-acre property which includes a modern 22-stall barn, both indoor and outdoor arenas, and extensive trails through fields and woods.

Gord is a “natural horseman” who possesses an uncanny ability to literally communicate with horses! In 2018, he obtained EAL Certification after having excelled at the “Cartier Farms Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) Course”, he is a “ Level 3 Harmony Horsemanship Instructor” as well as a professional Teamster with more than 20 years experience driving horses. Gord thoroughly enjoys hosting clinics and giving private and small group lessons where he offers a unique perspective on Western Horsemanship. With her extensive knowledge of horses and advanced riding skills, as well as animal training certification, Heather is right there beside her husband to ensure that nothing is missed! This is true teamwork!

Whether you are an experienced rider looking to enhance your skills or those of your own horse, a beginner who wants to learn to ride according to the proven Windsong Way, or someone simply wanting to enjoy the exhilarating experience of riding a horse on scenic trails, Windsong Ranch is definitely the place for you!
